About Riva Beach Resort –
This 3 star resort being located at just a 100 m walk from the Mandrem Beach offers you the comfort of your room with view of a beautiful riverfront crossing which you have a pristine beach.
Unlike other famous tourist beaches like the Calangute, Candolim or even Baga the Mandrem Beach will make your holidays full of pleasure and relaxing. The charm increases even more in the night when you lay down on the beach side in the cool breeze with millions of stars to sooth your eyes.
How about your rooms?
Well the resort has some amazing rooms which comes with a beautiful riverfront and others without. No matter which category you choose you can be assured of the best comfort and service.
We booked for deluxe room but to our destiny were offered an upgrade to the super deluxe room which comes with a balcony to sit out and have the amazing view- remember the riverfront I talked about in above lines.
What to do for the day ?
The best thing about resorts is that they should be a destination within themselves and this one fits into the category. There are various activities you can indulge yourself in along with your kids.
- Let’s get fit
Start your morning with a walk on the beach followed by yoga for which you can even have an instructor from the resort.
- Time to get some swimming lesson’s
Yes, the resort provides you with a trainer for you don’t feel sad being not able to dive into there beautiful pool.
- Time to get yourself wet
Well you are on a beach and a holiday is incomplete without surfing and for those who don’t know how to do that, the resort’s surfing school is at your service.
- That’s not enough? They have more
You can even get some hands on Kayaking.
All these activities are conducted by the resort itself or else you can just lay down on the beach in peace for which the people are here.
Food is something which can make or break your experience and while we checked in the resort we expected it to be something so – so and heavy on pocket but when the time came to give our taste buds a new experience to our surprise the food was not only delicious come for a nominal price unlike other resorts where the prices are hyped and people on budget have to look for options at places outside.
The complimentary morning breakfast served was also so amazing with a live kitchen to serve you three different types of omelet, boiled eggs, few South Indian dishes and some new dishes out of which that I tasted was the herbs boiled potatoes.
As you enter the resort you will be welcomed by the courteous staff and till you leave they will cater you with a smiling face to make your stay hassle free.
Coming over to the tariff
Well the Riva Beach resort has capped a very justified price for their guest but there is always an option for online booking. That’s the way I grabbed a deal for the deluxe room at Rs. 2500 per night with a complimentary breakfast for two.

I like ho to resort focuses on active holidays and offer the guests surfing lessons or yoga for relaxation. Kayaks for renting are also a really nice touch, it’s great paddling on the calm sea, especially at sunset. I don’t think the price is high at all for the services you get.
very true Joanna…..i too was surprised too see the very much affordable prices for the activities and food they had..
I love that they have so much to do there. The rooms looks beautiful and so does the beach! I would be down for some beach yoga and kayaking!
yup….a little bit of yoga at the dusk in the fresh air makes the day..
Great tip about the Mandrem Beach, it’s important to find a good beach to relax on. The Riva beach resort sounds perfect being just a 100 m walk from it. The sunset over the Mandrem looks amazing too, what a place for an evening stroll!
thanks and yes it was an amazing place I landed by luck..
Goa is a place i’d love to visit! It seems like they have a whole range of activities, accommodation and things to do! It all looks very affordable too!
Until my visit I assumed that its going to be very costly but only until I visited found all is not only normal but far better …
It was actually one of the hotels we were considering during our last visit to Goa. But somehow, we didn’t end up here. Wish to have stumbled upon your post before 🙂
Well everything thing happens for a cause..and here the chances are that Goa is calling you again..:)
I’m off trekking in Nepal in October and will probably spend some time in India after the trek. I am considering Goa and the Riva Beach Resort looks lovely. A little yoga in the morning sounds like a good start to the day. Thanks for sharing!
Oh…that’s great…trekking to the Everest? And ya …you are mist welcome to India .there are many places you can visit depending on the time frame you plan for..
I would love to go to Goa and that beach resort looks amazing. The food looks so good. I think I would go kayaking as swimming is not really my thing 🙂
Ya swimming is more of a general activity one can do anywhere but kayaking would be a great experience
Sounds like the perfect stay. The rooms look lush with so much to do there. Sounds like the perfect place for a really relaxing and recharging holiday. 🙂
Yes…the place was so relaxing and refreshing..
The place looks quite fancy… we stayed at Ramada in South Goa which was also a nice property. Nice there are kayaking options too
Oh great..I didn’t made to south goa this time but definitely on my next visit..
The Riva Beach Resort looks so inviting! I’d love to go kayaking and watch the sunset. Or just lounge in those chairs all day with a good book!
And ya..you could even Go stargazing to end your day with beautiful view..
Never heard of a resort that offers swimming lessons so that’s excellent given so many people can’t swim. Also fantastic that you got an upgrade! Sounds like you had a great trip in Goa!
Ya… it was an awesome trip. And yes the swimming lessons are a good thing specially people travelling with kids…
This hotel seems perfect, really. It has the best of both ways, you can either relax or you can be sporty in the ocean. The hotel looks absolutely stunning, great pick!
Thanks… and it was by luck we booked this one online completely unaware of the location and its facilities
Beach Yoga sounds like fun! I have never been to India but I definitely want to visit! It looks absolutely beautiful over there!
Ya…India is amazing and will offer you all kinds of experience from forest to deserts to beaches to mountains…
As much as we have been enticed by the charm of Goa the crowded beaches have always dissuade us. But Riva Beach resort does look like something to consider owing to its secluded beach and all those activities right at the resort. Agree with you the resort sounds like a destination in itself and we would love to experience this comfort when we make a visit to Goa.
Ya we were too amazed for once because all we had heard was crowded beach and hell lot of expensive being peak season in January….but now I know the best time to visit
The Riva Beach Resort sounds like a fantastic spot to stay at Mandrem Beach! I love the idea of doing Yoga first thing in the morning, following by an array of activities like swimming and kayaking. And wow – that sunset looks incredible. How nice it would be to kayak into the sunset!
Yes…very true… the is a complete pack to make your stay full of fun and. Frolic alongside being peaceful
Love the photos, I’ve heard Goa is beautiful part of India. The resort looks brilliant! Thank you for sharing
Thanks and yes it is one of the many beautiful spots…
This resort is just so amazing! A quiet place of your own between all the crowd of tourists. Also the Mandrem beach is lovely! What could be better than a stroll on a clean beach with a beautiful sunset?
ya….there’s nothing better than that but if that’s not enough you have million stars shining above you as you lay down on the beach in the cool breeze
Goa is our all time favourite destination! Rica looks nice and comfortable. We stayed in Kenilworth … would love to try a new place the next time!
Same here… btw how was kenilworth?
Looks great, I’d definitely love to stay here. I love that the resort even provides swimming lessons, so awesome.
You will love it …sure
This sounds like such an amazing place to stay. We have only ever stayed in a few resort hotels but we’re always surprised by their luxury. I would opt for a riverfront room to be closer to the water! Having a complimentary breakfast is also such a nice touch.
The best thing about this was it had a riverfront followed by a sea front…and moreover the numerous activities it had
Is this in GOA?
Yes it so is..and that’s why its mentioned in the post…
